Gallery Throw
I usually avoid designing large-scale projects because I always want to start on “the next thing” long before I finish them. This throw was designed with restless crocheters (like me) in mind! It is made up of 6 different stitch patterns each worked up in 5 different colorways for a total of 30 squares- with no two squares exactly alike! This keeps things interesting but allows the pieces to look cohesive when stitched together. Big on color, texture and unique stitches, this beautiful afghan is a functional piece of art!
Join me in the Gallery Throw CAL on the Creative Crochet Corner! Each session we will unlock the pattern for a new block of this beautiful blanket! The pattern is free when signing up for the Creative Crochet Corner Newsletter. Join our live tutorials, to ask any questions you might have.

Approximately 630 yds wool or acrylic worsted weight yarn (CYCA #4) in a contrasting color (for edging/frame around each square and edging around blanket).

Yarn Needle
Removeable stitch markers
Yarn Used for Throw Shown
Paintbox Yarns Simply Aran (worsted or aran weight CYCA #4, 100% Acrylic; 201 yards 184m/ 3.5 oz 100 grams: Glorious Gold #SA66 (A), Light Caramel #SA208 (B), Slate Green #SA266 (C), Pine Green #SA67 (D), Elephant Grey #SA61 (E) 2 skeins each; and Champagne White #202 (F); 4 skeins.
Note: I did not have very much yarn left over in each of the coordinating colors- only about 30 yds 28m. If you crochet with a looser gauge, you might want to purchase an additional skein in each of these 5 colors to be sure you have enough. There was plenty of the Contrast/edging Color (Color F)
Gauge
All squares measure about 8” 20.5cm square.
14.5 sts and 17 rows = 4” (10cm) in SC worked in turned rows
Getting exact gauge is not important as long as you like the feel of the fabric. However, it will affect the finished size and yarn amounts.
