Galatea Shawl
This pattern is available individually and as part of the Poseidon’s Realm, Part One pattern collection.
A crescent shaped shawlette named for Galatea, a sea nymph whose name means “she who is milk-white.” The lace and stockinette stripes on the shawl are like waves on the shore. This shawl is knit in a lovely silk/cashmere blend that will float over your shoulders like sea foam.
This shawl is worked from the top down. It begins with a garter stitch tab. The main body of the shawl is worked in alternating stockinette and lace stripes, using two colors. The easiest way to increase the size of this shawl is by using a heavier yarn and larger needles.
This pattern includes both written and charted instructions.
