This pattern was originally designed for the Fuzzy Fix subscription boxes in winter 2018, in collaboration with the Fuzzy Goat yarn shop in Thomasville, GA!

Fuzzy Traveller are squishtastic fingerless mitts with a diamond lace motif across the top, inspired by Southern Georgia charm. Using just one skein of Dragonfly Fibers Super Traveller yarn, these mitts are the perfect palette cleanser. Using Super Bulky weight yarn, they will fly off your needles, and you will have something to keep your hands warm all through winter and early spring!

Skill Level: Beginner. No brioche, my friends!! I wanted to create an approachable pattern, with just a few lace stitches to keep you interested. Techniques used: Tubular cast on and bind off, knitting in the round, knit, purl, simple lace yarn overs and decreases.

Construction Notes: These simple mitts are knit in the round, starting at the Cuff and are worked up to the top of the mitt, which ends around the middle knuckle of the fingers, with a simple hole for the thumb. A diamond lace motif adorns the top of the mitt, a simple yet engaging design element!

This pattern is both written and charted for your convenience!

Size: One size for Women; 8” / 20 cm in circumference and 6.5” / 16.5 cm in length from cuff to top of mitt (taken after blocking).

Yarn: 70 yds / 64 m Super Bulky weight yarn

This is a great project to show off variegated and speckled yarn! If you substitute a solid color yarn, the lace motif will really POP on the top of your hand.

Needles:
Small: 40” US 9 / 5.5mm circular needles
Large: 40” US 10 / 6mm circular needles
Circular needles are used for Magic Loop method for knitting small circumferences in the round. DPN’s may also be used. Be sure to use needle sizes that obtain the correct gauge. Please note that this pattern is written for Magic Loop method, but I have included special notes if you are a DPN knitter.

Gauge: 14 sts x 20 rows = 4” / 10cm in stockinette stitch in the round (taken after blocking)

Tools: row counter, tapestry needle for sewn bind off and weaving in ends, optional locking stitch marker for noting beginning of round
