Funny Leprechaun
This little Buddy works up fairly quick using small amounts of yarn & minimal sewing: hat, beard & shamrock. We will be working top to bottom and in the round unless noted otherwise.
Materials/Tools:
Worsted Weight Yarn – in your colors of choice
Safety Eyes – pair of 9mm eyes (or whatever size is appropriate for the hook and yarn you choose)
Fiberfill stuffing
Hook D/3.25mm (you can use whatever size you desire providing that you cannot see your stuffing)
Yarn needle
Stitch marker
Crochet Terms/Special Stitches:
MR – magic ring
ch - chain
st(s) – stitch(es)
slst – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
trc - treble crochet
FLO – front loop only
inc – increase (work 2 sts in the same space)
dec – decrease (using the invisible method pick up the FLO of next 2 sts, (yarn over & pull through 2 loops) x2
4tcBS – 4 treble crochet bobble stitch (yarn over x2, insert hook into st, yarn over & pull through st, yarn over & pull through 2 loops, yarn over & pull through 2 loops) x4, yarn over & pull through all 5 loops on hook
2dcBS – 2 double crochet bobble stitch (yarn over, insert hook into st, yarn over & pull through, yarn over pull thorough 2 loops) x2, yarn over and pull through all 3 loops on hook
