It’s not enough that these are striking seasonless pieces that would look as well at the beach as at the office (seriously, how often can you say that?). Here are two other wonderful things about them. First, the stitch pattern is just beautiful: it could be used in mosaic or stonework on any cathedral and look completely at home. Second, the pattern is written with a thoroughness and care for the reader that’s unusual. Different instructions for different sizes are broken out separately, and row-by-row instructions abound. Pattern calls for scarf to be sewn to the neckline of the vest (as shown in photo), but of course that’s your call. American crochet terminology.
