Fungus Cardigan O-Neck
Description
The Fungus Cardigan O-Neck is a feminine oversized drop-shoulder cardigan with a neat double-height moss stitch pattern. The cardigan is knitted from the top down, starting with the ribbed neckline. On the yoke, increases are made on each side of three shoulder stitches on each side. The yoke is first knitted with short rows to shape the neckline, then worked back and forth until the cardigan reaches the correct width, at which point the shoulder increases stop. The front pieces and back piece are then knitted separately until the armhole depth is correct. From here, the work is joined, and the body is knitted back and forth. Stitches are picked up along the armhole for the sleeves. The sleeves extend to just before the wrist but can be adjusted to the desired length, as can the body. The button bands of the cardigan are knitted on once the cardigan itself is finished.

Finished Measurements
Bust measurement: approx. 109 (113) 118 (127) 131 (135) 144 (149) 153 cm.
Body length measured from the top center back (CB): approx. 60 (61) 62 (65) 66 (67) 70 (71) 72 cm.
Sleeve length measured from where the sleeves are added: approx. 31 (31) 33 (33) 35 (35) 35 (35) 35 cm.
The cardigan is designed with 15-30 cm of positive ease, but if a tighter or looser fit is desired, you can go up or down a size. The recommendation is to aim for a wide positive ease in the smaller sizes and a narrower positive ease in the larger sizes.
The model in the picture has a bust measurement of approx. 84 cm and is wearing size XS with approx. 29 cm of positive ease.

The cardigan in the picture is knitted with 1 strand of Isager Tweed from Isager Yarn in the color Sand and 1 strand of Soft Silk Mohair from Knitting for Olive, color Wheat.
In addition to yarn, you will need 4 stitch markers, 2 of which should be able to open like safety pins.
7 (7) 7 (7) 7 (7) 8 (8) 8 buttons. I recommend size 15-20 mm.
Suggested Needles
The cardigan is knitted in a double-height moss stitch pattern back and forth on 4 mm circular needles (80 cm) with 1 strand of Isager Tweed Mohair held together with 1 strand of Silk Mohair.
It is recommended to have 2 circular needles of 4 mm so that the stitches that need to rest can be placed on one needle while knitting with the other, but you can also use a string or a stitch wire instead.
The ribbed edges on the neckline, armhole, body, and along the button bands are knitted on 3 mm circular needles (80 cm).
I recommend the Magic Loop method for knitting the sleeves and the ribbed edges on the sleeves. If you do not use the Magic Loop method, you will also need 1 circular needle of 4 mm (40 cm) and 1 circular needle of 3 mm (40 cm).
Gauge
18 sts x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm on 4 mm needles, knitted back and forth in double-height moss stitch pattern
