Full Mittens - Chunky/Doubled Worsted Version
These are classic mittens, simple and traditional in style and fit. The gusseted thumb creates a comfortable fit, and the mittens are unhanded” – that is, both hands are the same. If you’re making a gift for someone prone to losing things, consider making three.
If your hands get very cold like mine do, make a size larger than you usually would and layer a pair of the fingering-weight fingerless mitts underneath.
These are worked either with a chunky weight yarn, or a worsted weight double-stranded. The doubled-stranded worsted is a little warmer.
