We used to have old, single pane windows in the house and though I certainly don’t miss the drafts, I do miss the intricate patterns of frost on the glass—stunningly beautiful and incredibly intricate! These mitts doesn’t begin to do those patterns justice, but it is what was in my mind’s eye while working on these designs! The design includes a long fold-over ribbing section at the top that can be unfolded to cover more of the fingers, but a much shorter rib section will work just fine if that is your preference.
There are two sizes given, but additional sizes could be made using different yarn weights and needle sizes—smaller or larger gauges. Two colors are all you need, but if you have a favorite high contrast color, feel free to use it for the cast-on round!
