The edges at the top and bottom of the leg warmers (snow drift) are worked back and forth and then sewn together.
At the beginning of both these legwarmers and mittens designed for an average woman’s size, the edging is knitted back and forth flat first in the heavier yarn before joining in the round to knit the snowflake pattern in the lighter weight yarn. Bobbles are created to imitate snowballs as part of the edging bottom.

Gauge notes:
