Frost Nipper is a swirly cowl that provides warmth as temps fall. Wear it over a plain top to dress it up or under a coat to block drafts. Crocheted from the top down in an easy-to-hook swirl pattern of dc and shells with a shell collar that is added at the end. The cowl is make with 230 yards of DK/light worsted weight yarn with a size I (5.5mm) crochet hook. Finished size is 22” around neck x 11” long x 58” around bottom. Make it in one color, several colors, scrap yarn, or a yarn with a long color run. An added bonus are instructions for turning the cowl into a longer shoulder hugger or a poncho with extra yarn. The 5 page pattern has written row instructions and two crochet charts.
