Frosé Shorties
June 13-24, 2025 all proceeds from this pattern will be donated to Vestiaire St-Joseph in Shediac, New Brunswick to help support local families in need.
It is finally Frosé Shortie season in my part of the world!! Frosé is one of my favourite summer sippers and my recipe is included in the pattern.
These shortie socks are frothy and so fun to knit. They are knit toe up using simple one over one cables and a lace panel that make this an engaging knit. It is only a four round repeat and two of those rounds are plain knitting which makes this the perfect on-the-go summer sock. The ruffled bind off is a unique little addition to this very cute sock and is surprisingly easy to do
The sock comes in 3 sizes and is knit from the toe up with my rounded toe. It has a gusset, a contrast German short row heel turn and slip stitch heel flap for a fantastic fit. The pattern includes an easy to calculate measurement to make sure that you start your gusset in the right spot.
There are video tutorials to support you through this sock construction as well as showing how to do the cables without a cable needle.
The pattern looks great on lots of different types of yarn and would be a great scrappy project. Think of all of those part skeins of left over sock yarn!! Check out my tester’s project pages for inspiration.
50-70g fingering weight yarn with a 20g contrast colour in fingering weight.
Huge thanks to my test knitters Leanne, Heather, J, Rochelle, Lee, Lori, Sophie and Josée for their feedback and their beautiful socks.
