Frontignan Shawl
Frontignan shawl is a triangular shaped shawl knitted flat with unique construction. It consists of 4 sections, referred to as quadrants A through D, which are separated by dividing lines, 1 through 4. These quadrants and lines are worked sequentially, yet as one piece using short rows and without needing to pick up any stitches. Quadrant A is knitted first, followed by Line 1 which divides Quadrants A & B, followed by Quadrant B, then Lines 2 & 3, followed by Quadrant C, and then Line 4 and finally Quadrant D is worked last. The shawl is almost entirely knitted in garter stitch.
