Frôhan
As I hike up and down the trail along the ridges of Frahan, I meet woods, rocks and water. Here and there, through the trees, I catch a glimpse of the ever meandering river Semois. Later on my journey, a peaceful rocky outcrop offers the perfect viewpoint to admire the greenery, and enjoy the song of the gentle breeze in the leaves.
The Frôhan cowl is an ode to the tree-covered hill slopes, rocky outcrops and meanders of the river Semois near the Belgian village of Frahan in the Ardennes. The cowl features alternating playful meandering cables and bold chevron lace. Using a cozy Aran yarn, lace and cables will keep you entertained, and you’ll wrap your neck in stylish warmth in no time.
Frôhan is the name of the village of Frahan in Walloon. Frahan is nested in a beautiful meander of river Semois in Belgium, and is surrounded by woody hill flanks.
For best effect, use a round yarn with good stitch definition. Yarn weights ranging from Fingering to Aran would be suitable. As for colorways, I would recommend solid, semi-solid, or gradient yarns.
