This stocking pattern is knit in the round and knit with short rows for the heel to allow the stocking to flatten out.

If doing a solid stocking, 3 balls needed for main colour and 2 balls for heel/toe. If doing stripes, 2 balls each for stripes and 2 balls for heel/toe.

Tension doesn’t really matter as it will be felted, as long as you are not too tight. Tighter tension won’t felt as well.
