As the story goes, a knitter gets into the car with all of her knitting paraphernalia in tow and drives a short distance to pick up a friend who also drags along several assorted bags of knitting projects, and the two set off to travel down the Friendship Road together. This road can be smooth or rocky, flat or hilly, long or short. As we travel it together, we share ourselves, our dreams, our frustrations, and our happiness. The direction is often knitting-focused — a retreat, a night out, a workshop — and the destination becomes a shared experience that you’ve laughed over, cried about or lamented, part of your joint knitting journey. The paired tracks that spiral around this hat will serve as a fitting souvenir of this experience.

ERRATA: Round 9 of the CROWN DECREASES on p. 3 should not read “twice” at the end of the instruction. It should read RND 9: (… LC) knit to end of round.
