This pattern dates to 1952. Each body part of this poodle is crocheted in the round, stuffed and seamed together. Cardboard shapes are put in the bottom of the feet before stuffing to provide stability. The poodle haircut is achieved by looping the yarn around the first finger of the left hand. Teeth are embroidered in white yarn. No. 14 glass eyes are recommended. The leash and collar are made of braided cotton yarn.

There is a matching pattern for a little girl’s poodle hat and muff.
