19.5 cm (7 2/3”) from head to toe, when crocheted with DK / sport weight yarn and a 2.50 mm crochet hook.

SKILLS REQUIRED

YOU WILL NEED

  • DK / light worsted / # 3 / sport weight yarn.
  • For the yellow lion I used Alize ‘Alpaca Royal’, a DK weight wool-alpaca-acrylic blend, 250m (273yd) per 100g (3.53oz). You will need about 55g of yellow (#423) and 20g of brown yarn (#558).
  • For the beige lion I used Alize ‘Cotton Gold’, a sport weight cotton-acrylic blend, 330m (361yd) per 100g (3.53oz). You will need about 55g of beige (#67) and 20g of brown yarn (#493).
  • 2.50 - 3.00 mm crochet hook (US size 2/C - 3/D).
  • Polyester fiberfill, wool, wadding/padding for stuffing.
  • 9 mm (3/8”) safety eyes and 12 mm (1/2”) safety nose or buttons, beads, felt etc.
  • Two 20 mm (4/5”) and two 16 mm (3/5”) plastic doll joints or safety eyes, or buttons.
  • Yarn needle, scissors, stitch marker.
