“Freccia (Arrow)” is a highly contemporary stole worked in stripes and blocks of color.
The borders of the stole are decorated with a simple garter stitch motif, accentuated by decorative yarn overs and I-cording.
The stole is started at one point using the first colo and the stitches are increased until there is a sufficient number to encircle the shoulders; then the work continues without increasing. At this point stripes are added by alternating the first and second color and the work continues with the second color. More stripes are then added by alternating the second and third colors and then the stole continues without increases. At this point the stitches are decreased to shape the second point and complete the stole.

Finished measurements:
256 cm – 100 ¾ inches long and 58 cm – 22 ¾ inches wide (after blocking).

Yarn and needles:
BORGO DE’ PAZZI Amore 240 (70% Merino, 25% Polyamide, 2% Rayon, 2% Acrylic and 1% Polyester: 240 m – 262 yds / 50 gr – 1.76 oz. skein).
First colour: 124 (purple); 2 skeins (440 m – 482 yds);
Second colour: 130 (mustard); 1 skein (150 m – 165 yds);
Third colour: 121 (brown); 2 skeins (440 m – 482 yds);
Needles size 5 mm – US 8.
If necessary, please adjust needle size to obtain the specified gauge.
Other:
Tapestry needle and scissors.
Pins and a tape measure for blocking.

Gauge:
16 sts and 27 rows = 10 cm – 4 inches in st st (after blocking).

“Freccia” è una stola molto moderna lavorata a righe e blocchi di colore.
I bordi della stola hanno un semplice motivo a maglia legaccio, reso interessante da dei gettati decorativi e dagli I-cord.
Si inizia con il primo colore da una punta e si aumentano le maglie fino ad averne un numero sufficiente per abbracciare le spalle, poi si prosegue diritto. Si lavorano quindi delle righe, alternando il primo e il secondo colore e si prosegue con il secondo colore. Si ripetono le righe, alternando, questa volta, il secondo e il terzo colore, poi si prosegue diritto. Si conclude diminuendo le maglie fino a formare la seconda punta.

Misure finite:
256 cm di lunghezza e 58 cm di larghezza (dopo il bloccaggio).

Filato e aghi:
BORGO DE’ PAZZI Amore 240 (70% merino, 25% poliammide, 2% rayon, 2% acrilico e 1% poliestere: 240 m per gomitolo da 50 gr.
Primo colore: 124 (viola); 2 gomitoli (440 m);
Secondo colore: 130 (mostarda); 1 gomitolo (150 m);
Terzo colore: 121 (marrone); 2 gomitoli (440 m);
Ferri numero 5 mm.
Se necessario modificare il numero degli aghi per ottenere il campione corretto.
Altro:
Ago da lana e forbici, spilli e metro da sarta per il bloccaggio.

Campione:
16 m x 27 f = 10 cm lavorati a maglia rasata (dopo il bloccaggio).
