He can be made in any yarn and hook combination you want. Just be certain that the fabric is firm enough that stuffing does not show through.

My Franklin is made in Vanna’s Choice Solids using just one color-- and you only need a little bit, so he is perfect for scrap-busting!

Franklin is an advanced beginner-level pattern. Skills you will need include single crochet, single crochet into the bottom of a foundation chain, increases, decreases, joining pieces together with crochet, and some seaming.
