Fragments Hat
This fragments colorwork pattern is absurdly addictive and so fun to play with when it comes to colors. I had so many combinations in my head and wanted to try all the colors in my stash, and the best way to do that was with a small, useful project, hence this hat. It features the same colorwork chart as the Fragments sweater and the Fragments cowl, but the colors are worked in a different way. A quick knit, perfect to practice your colorwork skills and use up leftovers, or as a gift. If you are thinking about making the Fragments sweater or cowl as well, it´s also a very convenient way to swatch.
PATTERN NOTES:
The Fragments hat is worked from the bottom up in the round. After a simple 1/1 rib brim, a few stitches are added to give the hat a more slouchy look. At the colorwork motif the main color continues as background color alongside all fragments stripes, and the fragments are worked in a gradient of 5 colors, separated by a thin stripe in a sixth contrast color. They can, of course, be worked in a multiple of ways. The options are endless.
