Inspired by the iconic Hudson Bay Point Blankets, this is a perfect beginner blanket pattern made with easy double crochet repeat color stripes. An acrylic/wool blend yarn gives it the warmth and feel of the famous trading blankets but with the fun of making one yourself!

50 x 68 inches is the perfect couch-size throw for snuggling up with a cup of tea and a good book.

This pattern uses 9 skeins of Encore Worsted in color #0146 winter white, and 1 skein each of #0848 navy, #1385 bright yellow, #9601 regal red and #0054 Christmas green with a size H/8/5mm hook.

I chose a wool/acrylic yarn for the comparable feel of the original wool blankets, but any worsted-weight acrylic or wool yarn will work!
