Four-in-a-row Lace Bookmark
My youngest nephew has been playing a lot of the game Connect Four lately. It’s a game where you play against an opponent to get four checker-type pieces in a row. (Much like tic-tac-toe, but with four). He may be 6 years old, but he beats me every time! I put this bookmark together as I feel it’s the only way that I can actually win! Made simply with YOs and K2TOGs, the easily memorized chart can be knit up in about 30-45 minutes and is great if you’re looking for something quick and simple.
This is great for leftover yarn pieces. The yarn used in the pictures is some Egyptian cotton I bought while on vacation there. If you adjust the needle sizes up, you’ll maintain the same effect and design, but you may end up needing a little more yarn depending on how large of needles you use.
Suggestion for blocking: In place of a lot of pins or blocking wires, small double-pointed or straight needles can be used along with just a few pins
Lace bookmark designs have recently been moved over to my page here. Attachments are being updated and will be added as a free E-book soon. Thanks! :-)
