Forrest Earflap for Aran
Gauge: 17 sts in 10cm/ 4in stockinette stitch. Row gauge is not important for this pattern, as all the measurements are given in both centimeters and inches. Only the stitch count matters!
This beanie is knit all flat. There is no knitting in the round at all. Also, it is seamless.
You will need: up to 145g of Aran yarn, knitting needles to obtain the gauge (for knitting flat – I recommend using circular needles and looking up Magic Loop method – although nothing is being knit in the round, it might make it easier to knit it for you), two double-pointed knitting needles, two stitch markers, two locking stitch markers, and a darning needle.
The pattern is available in all sizes from newborn to adult xl.
