Both patterns for fingerless mitts and headband are included.
Gauge: In two-color stranded pattern, 15-1/2 sts = 2 inches.
Materials:
2 skein Mountain Meadow Wool Sport Tweed, “Gypsum” (natural cream and natural light grey singles plied together), approx 185 yds/2oz/56g
1 skein Mountain Meadow Wool Cody, 2-ply sport, color “Moss” (green), 185 yards is approximately 2 oz. Only about half the skein is used for the pair of mitts, and 1 skein is enough for mitts and headband.
Needles, size 1 (2.5 mm) and size 2 (3 mm), set of DPNs. Circulars may be used if other techniques are preferred.
Tapestry or yarn needle for finishing.

Smaller needles are used for the braid at the top and bottom of the original headband, as the purl rounds tended to spread out laterally somewhat and cause a flare.
The headband is worked in the round, with the pattern repeating 8 times. I recommend using stitch markers to mark the repeats.
