The Forester Duo shawl has the shape of an slightly asymmetrical triangle and is crocheted in rows from one side to the other with two different colors. The colors are shifted on one edge of the shawl, and you don’t need to cut the yarn when changing color. The color changes are made with a special technique that gives a smooth edge with chain stitches, almost like a braid. You can easily adjust the size of the shawl by reducing or increasing the number of repetitions, which is described in the pattern.

Pattern features:

  • Written pattern in English (US and UK terminology), Danish, Dutch, German,Japanese, Spanish and Swedish.
  • Photo tutorials to show the neccesary steps of the pattern.
  • Directions how to change color without cutting the yarn.
  • Directions how to customize the size.
  • Stitch count.
  • Yarn details and amounts.

Stitches used in this pattern (US terms):

Chain, slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet, front post treble , back post treble.

Stitches marked with an * are described in my Stitch Guides, always available on my blog, mijocrochet.se.

Yarn and Size:

To make my Forester Duo Shawl I used 2 skeins of the yarn Scheepjes Whirl (60% Cotton, 40% acrylic, 215g = 1000m), 1 x color 791 Kiwi Crush Crumble and 1 x color 793 Goji Sorbet Dream.

If you use the same yarn and hook as the pattern suggests, the measurements will be about 175 x 120 x 110 cm before blocking
