Loosely based on the Chevron Rib Beanie by Reena Meijer-Drees, this intriguing pattern is all knit and purls and one simple decrease - the CDD, which is easily worked. Model Size L, shown in Aran Islands wool, 140 yds / 128 m in Color Swamp, 16 sts x 24 rnds

Size S: Dk-weight yarn; 22 st x 30 rnds in 4” / 10 cm =16” / 40 cm hat; ~7.5 to 8” / 19 to 20 cm tall; fits 17 – 19” / 43 – 48 cm
Size M: Worsted-weight yarn; 19 st x 28 rnds in 4” / 10 cm = 19” / 48 cm hat; ~8.5” / 21.5 cm tall; fits 20 – 22.25” / 50 – 56.5 cm

Beginner Pattern intro to working in the Round
