Forest Floor is a minimal and sleek rectangular shawl with clean lines and sophisticated simplicity.

You work the shawl in quatrefoil lace and continuous vertical eyelet columns. To showcase the pattern at its best, use solid, semi-solid or lightly speckled yarns.

Forest Floor is knitted entirely on garter stitch, so there’s no purling!

YARN
2 skeins of The Uncommon Thread Silky Merino Fingering (75% merino, 25% silk; 402 m / 440 yds per 100 g). Shown in colour Bois.

Or approximately 769 m / 840 yds of similar fingering weight yarn.

NEEDLES
Size 4 mm / US 6 circular needle or size to obtain pattern gauge

This shawl is worked flat, but I recommend using 60-80 / 24-32 inch circular needles to accommodate the large number of stitches.

FINISHED SIZE After blocking
185 cm / 73 in (length) x 60 cm / 24 in (width)
The pattern includes instructions for how to modify both length and width.

ssk: slip, slip, knit; slip 1 stitch knitwise, slip another stitch knitwise, knit the 2 slipped stitches together through back loops
