Errata:

Work Row 1 (in CC) of mesh section once more. 225 sts.
Work the setup row below before proceeding to Lighning Section.
Lightning Setup Row (ws): k3, sm, k1, k2tog, k to next marker, sm, k1, sm, k to 3 sts before last marker, k2tog, k1, sm, k3. 223 sts.
Also, the chart now has the odd (right side) row numbers on the left and even (wrong side) row numbers on the right to make it easier to read!
Row 16 of the chart on the left hand side reads p2tog with the repeat section. It should be ssp. The written instructions for that row are correct.

The Forecast Shawl starts with clear blue garter stitch skies which turn to droplets of rain amidst gray clouds before becoming fierce bolts of lacy lightning. But the storm lets up and the blue skies once again prevail in the edging.
This pattern is dedicated to my Grandpa, whose favorite song of all time (and as he said, “The last great song ever written!”) was “I Can See Clearly Now.”

Materials
Fingering weight yarn in 2 colors, approximately 400 yards each
I used Knit Picks Stroll Tonal in Frozen and Pearlescent
Size US 4 24”- 32” length circular needles
Stitch markers (at least 4)
Tapestry needle
T pins for blocking

Gauge
25 sts and 24 rows = 4” in garter st unblocked
