One half of a mini-collection in collaboration with Sylvia of Softsweater Knits and Melissa from Sweet Fiber! Check out the second half of the collection, Authenticity!

Sweet Fiber’s Canadian yarn has officially launched. Pop over to her online shop to get your hands on some of this gorgeous yarn!

I designed this scarf to be something fun to knit and practical to wear. Living out in the woods means that I’m out a lot building and fixing things, gathering firewood, starting motors and my favorite, foraging! In the fall and winter I prefer to do this all bundled up in wool but my giant scarves or lacey shawls suddenly just aren’t very practical.
The Forager’s Scarf’s little dangly tail solves that though by being able to easily thread through the mesh on the other end, securing it from falling off but still allowing it to be as snug or loose around your neck as you want, all while showing off the texture of the garter and lace wrapped cozily around your neck.

Yarn:
2 skeins Sweet Fiber Canadian (100% Canadian wool, 208 yards (190 meters)/3.5oz (100g) skein.

13 sts & 20 rows = 4” (10cm) in garter stitch, blocked heavily.
