For Whom The Bell Tolls
Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
I am so fortunate to come from a family of kilt wearing, cigar smoking and Guinness drinking men. They are all so supportive they work pink for breastcancer awareness kilts and hose. For whom the bell tolls is a poem written by John Donne. It is the first poetry I ever learned. My brother Michael taught me it. The bell tolled for him too soon.. This pattern is for him.
No man is an island
Entire of itself
Each is a piece of the continent
A part of the main
If a clod be washed away by the sea
Europe is the less
As well as if a promontory were
As well as the manor of thine own
Or of thine friends were
Each man’s death diminishes me
For I am involved in mankind
Therefore, send not to know
For whom the bell tolls
It tolls for thee
