Footprints in the snow
The ultimate in wintery socks- from an icy picot hem at the top down through a flurry of snowflakes on the leg to footprints tracking across the top of the foot. Choose from bird, paw or bunny prints, or work a different one for each foot.
Sizing: Pattern gives stitch counts for small (medium, large, extra large) adult size; approximately equivalent to 17.5 (20.5, 23, 24) cm circumference at ball of foot.
Skills: Cast on, working in the round, knit, yarn overs, decreasing stitches, purl, working flat, picking up stitches, cabling, grafting stitches, weaving in ends.
Errata: In the original printed version of this pattern the instructions for the centred double decrease give a right leaning decrease. This will work with the pattern, however to achieve a centred decrease please work as follows:
Centred double decrease (CDD)
Slip two stitches onto right needle as if you were working a k2tog.
Knit next stitch.
Pass slipped stitches over the resulting stitch.
All digital versions are correct.
