Follow the trail is a slouchy hat knitted in DK yarn, with a high ribbing band and a simple slip stitch pattern. It is designed to play with the variegated colours contained in hand-dyed or hand-painted yarn but works equally well with solid colour.

Yarn needed:
80 [200, 230] m/197 [220, 252] yards divided into 65 [70, 80] m / 71 [77, 87] yards knitted for the brim and 115 [130, 155] m / 126 [143, 165] yards knitted for the body.
Optional: Pompom: 60 m/66 yards for 6.5 cm/2.55 inches in diameter
