The Floral Peony Neck Warmer Scarf is designed just for you to warm your day with elegance and style. Designed with a DK weight yarn on the base of the scarf and a sock or fingerling weight yarn on the flowers and leaves. The Floral Peony Neck Warmer Scarf warms your day with memories of summer walks in the garden surrounded by beautiful flowers. Perfect in any colour combination including neutrals, bright and bold or soft pastels. Make it all in one colour or various colours as shown.
Finished Measurements:
Measurements of base of scarf before trim: 19.25 inches / 49 cm wide by 4 inches / 10.2 cm high.
Gauge: Gauge is 4 sts and 2 rows in pattern using dc = 1” / 2.5 cm.
Yarn for the solid coloured scarf: This scarf needs both the DK and sock/fingerling weight yarn.
Scarf base - I used 1 skein DK 256 yards / 234 m per of DK weight by Sweetgeorgia Yarns. You can use most DK weight yarns for this design.
Flowers and Leaves (solid coloured scarf) – I used approximately 105 yards / 96 m sock weight or fingerling weight mini skein or other yarn of the same weight for the flowers and leaves. You can use most sock or fingerling weight yarns. If you are making the version with coloured flowers and leaves you will need enough yarn for the accents.
Crochet Hook: I used an H (5 mm) hook for the DK weight yarn and a B (2.25) for the sock or fingerling weight yarn (embellishments). You may need to use one size up or down depending on your tension.
Other supplies: Yarn needle to sew in ends. Buttons: You need 3 buttons to fasten size 20 mm or ¾ inch.
PATTERN NOTES: Pattern is written using US crochet terminology. Pattern is crocheted flat.
