About the pattern

“Flor del Desierto” pays tribute to the splendor of Chile’s Flowering Desert, with its palette of vibrant colors inspired by the flora and details of flowers created with beads inserted with a crochet hook.

This sweater is seamlessly knit in the round, from top to bottom, so you can try it on and adjust it to your body. It starts with a twisted ribbed neckline. The yoke has abstract flowers created with beads. The body and sleeves are knitted in stockinette stitch until reaching the hem or cuff, where a twisted rib stitch is.

Noteº1: The total grams of beads needed will vary according to their size.

Noteº2: Before starting your project, make a swatch to ensure you are getting gauge and that your sweater will come to the correct final measurements. If you have more stitches per inch than indicated, your tension is tighter, and you must go up a needle size or two. If you have fewer stitches per inch than indicated, your tension is looser, and you need to go down a needle size or two.

Noteº3: If you changed the size of your main needles to obtain a gauge, you would also have to change the needles sizes of your ribbing needles to 1 size smaller, respectively.

Acerca del patrón
“Flor del Desierto” rinde un homenaje al esplendor del Desierto Florido de Chile, con su paleta de colores vibrantes inspirada en la flora y los detalles de las flores creados con cuentas insertadas utilizando un ganchillo.

Este suéter se teje en circular, de arriba hacia abajo, sin costuras, para que puedas probártelo y ajustarlo a tu cuerpo. Comienza con un cuello con un elástico retorcido, en el canesú se trabajan unas flores abstractas creadas con mostacillas. El cuerpo y las mangas se tejen en punto jersey hasta llegar a la pretina o puño, donde se utiliza un elástico retorcido.

Notas del patrón
Nota 1: La cantidad en gramos varía dependiendo del porte de las mostacillas.

Nota 2: Hacer la muestra es esencial para que tu chaleco quede del tamaño indicado, si tu muestra es más chica te recomiendo que aumentes el número de las agujas. Si tu muestra es más grande, disminuye el número de las agujas.

Si cambiaste el tamaño de tus agujas principales para alcanzar el valor de muestra, también tendrás que cambiar el tamaño de las agujas de punto elástico a un tamaño de agujas más pequeña.
