Flare is a cowl with a squishy luxurious feel. It is knitted in the rounds in 2 colour brioche using Rowan Kid Classic. It has a flared shape at the bottom to sit comfortably on one’s shoulders and around the neck. The construction is top down. It starts in straight brioche rib then using syncopation technique the colour dominance is gradually reversed. Then the shape of the cowl flares by strategically placed brioche increases.
The pattern is written for 2 sizes: small and large. But also, it can be easily adjusted height-wise/width-wise to one’s desired size.
