Flannel Flowers are a unique Australian bloom, and “flannel” is a term we use for a washcloth. This sweet floral washcloth is best knit in cotton or a plant-based fiber, making it a perfect gift or an elegant addition to your daily routine. Worked flat with DK weight yarn, this project serves as an ideal introduction to mosaic knitting. This technique is much simpler than it looks, as you only work with a single colour per row. Choose yarns with a bold contrast and watch the flowers emerge. The pattern includes both charted and written instructions for the mosaic section. The charts provide options for either a light or dark background colour to guide your knitting.

NOTE: In the project pages there are 2 versions of this pattern. Version 1 is unpublished, the V1 projects linked here are from our test knitters. During the test a keen eyed tester noticed the design was not symmetrical - can you see it too? So mid test I adjusted the design and version 2 is the published design you see here and what you can expect when purchasing this pattern.
