Flaming kerchief
A stylish small size shoulder shawl will be a great colorful addition to your wardrobe.
This shawl begins at the center and is worked outward to the edging. Working increases at both ends of every row creates a heart shaped shawl which is easy to wear as a scarf.
Wear your Flaming kerchief as a traditional shawl thrown over your shoulders with the little black dress, or drape it around your neck with the center point up front or at the side and it will become a great accessory to your casual look.
This design was inspired by flickering flames of the holiday candles.
My goals for this design were:
a. Make a small shawl shaped so it could be worn as a scarf.
b. Use only one skein of fingering weight yarn (100 gr).
c. Incorporate some cable elements into the design making a unique border.
Both written row-by-row instructions and fully charted instructions provided.
