ABOUT
Fizz cardigan uses marling to create a cohesive fade with yarn held double. Worked top down with compound raglan shaping and a single button. The body has A-Line shaping that gently flares toward the hip and is emphasised by a curved hem knit with short rows. The yoke and body are worked flat, then the sleeves are worked in the round. This cardigan can be worked with two strands of a fuzzy yarn such as mohair or suri, or two strands of fingering weight yarn. The pattern includes two sleeves options: balloon sleeve (as seen in the sample) or bell sleeve (flares to mirror the A-Line shape of the body). Choose between 4, 6 or 8 colours to bring your fade to life!

EASE
This cardigan can fit however you like! I knit the sample to fit the intended wearer with 0 - 4 inches of positive ease. When selecting a size, I would encourage you to think about how you like things to fit your own body. If you like a closer-fitting garment, choose a Finished Chest Circumference with -2 to 0 inches of negative ease. If you like a looser-fitting garment, choose a Finished Chest Circumference with 2 - 4, or more, inches of positive ease.

YARN REQUIREMENTS
Your yardage will depend on your gauge, size and yarn chosen. These are estimates based on testing.

Fuzzy Lace Weight (such as mohair or suri) or Fingering Weight Yarn. Yarns held double.

4, 6 or 8 colours.

See photos for complete yardage information.

NOTE for working with tonal & variegated pairs: If you are working with 4 tonal and 4 variegated colours, you have two options: work the 8 colour version, or work the 4 colour version as follows: pair up each tonal with it’s closest variegated. Hold these two together as one. When fading, use the variegated strand. In this case, you don’t need to prepare your yarn into cakes, a ball will work.emphasized text
