First Time Tube Socks
Pattern Description from Interweave Knits, Holiday Gifts 2009: “Ann Budd’s First-Time Tube Socks compensate for a heelless construction with an intriguing stitch that clings and fits. Merino wool in a large hank makes a pair of soft, luxurious socks to wear all winter.”
Finished Size: 7 (9)“ foot circumference and 17¼ (15)” long from CO to tip of toe; to fit a child/woman’s small (woman’s large/man).
Yarn: Louet Gems Worsted (100% merino; 175 yd (160 m)/100 g): mustard, 2 skeins.
Needles: Size 7 (4.5 mm): set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Tapestry needle.
Gauge: 13 sts and 17 rnds = 2” in patt st in the rnd.
NOTE: There is a small errata in this pattern. The small size is 15” long and the large size is 17 1/4”.
