“Fire Bird” is a crescent shawl. The decorative panel (border) is shaped with short-rows forming Feather print.
The shawl is worked from the top and shaped by increasing stitches in the body and at the edges. The second section of the shawl is worked in short rows sideways. The border is worked bottom-up.

YARN: any fingering weight yarn ~320-400m/350-4437yds per 100g/3.5oz in 2 contrasting colors.
• Main color (MC): ~370m/404yds
• Contrasting color (CC): ~380m/315yds
NEEDLES: 3.5mm/ US 4 (or size to get gauge in Garter) circulars on a 80-100 cm/32-40” cable;
NOTIONS: stitch markers, tapestry needle, scissors.

• In Garter Stitch – 22 stitches by 25 garter ridges (50 rows)
