Fiola Flower Shawl
I have always been drawn to creating flowers and natural textures in knitting. Many floral motifs are worked in rounds, but this is an exploration of making flowers in rows on straight needles. This deceptively simple flower motif would be beautiful on its own as an embellishment to another project, but here it is magically transformed into a lacy fabric by joining the petals of your current flower to the petals of previously knit flowers. A perpendicular strip of fabric, which joins to the outer-edge petals as you go, ties it all together.
