“Fino” is not your average top-down sweater!

Slightly boxy at the top and with short-row shaped overcast shoulders, this pullover in A-line silhouette has a closer fit around the bust while flaring out towards the bottom in a casual way, culminating in a most nonchalant asymmetric pleat.

The pleat as well as the sleeves are knit in reverse stockinette for extra texture, and accented seams add further points of visual interest at the sides.

If you thought that was about as far as a laid-back sweater can go, wait until you’ve spun it around and discovered the delicate lace panel on the back! Its intricate stitch pattern truly matches the finery of the wonderfully delicate yarn that gave this garment its name - casual elegance at its best!

• Julie Asselin Fino – (75% Merino, 15% Cashmere, 10% Silk): 115g/ 400 yards (366 meters) – 3 (4, 4, [4, 4, 5], 5, 5) skeins or approx. 1140 (1220, 1300, [1400, 1500, 1620], 1740, 1860) yards 1043 (1115, 1190, [1280, 1370, 1480], 1590, 1700) meters of fingering weight yarn that knits up to gauge. The sample is knit in colorway “Aux Cayes”.
• US 2½ – 3 mm 24” (60 cm) & 40” (100 cm) circular needles
• US 4 – 3.5 mm 24” (60 cm) & 40” (100 cm) circular needles
• 4 stitch markers in one color (A)
• 2 stitch markers in a second color (B)
• 4 stitch markers in a third color (C)
• cable needle
• crochet hook for provisional cast-on

“Fino” ist kein durchschnittlicher VONU-Pulli …
Oben leicht kastig und mit überzogenen Schultern (durch verkürzte Reihen geformt), sitzt dieser A-Linien-Pullover körpernah im Brustbereich und gewinnt nach unten hin salopp an Weite, bis er in einer lässigen asymmetrischen Falte ausläuft.

Sowohl die Falte als auch die Ärmel werden zur Stabilisierung des Strukturmusters glatt links gestrickt, während betonte falsche Nähte seitliche Blickfänge bieten.

Wer gedacht hat, daß das alles ist, was von einem locker-lässigen Pulli erwartet werden kann, sollte abwarten, bis er ihn umgedreht und das zarte Lacemuster auf dem Rücken entdeckt hat! Das raffinierte Ajourmuster paßt haargenau zu dem extrafeinen Garn, das dem Pullover seinen Namen verliehen hat – lässige Eleganz vom Besten!
