The size of these mittens is determined by the gauge, and is altered by changing needle size.
Finished measurements:
Hand circumference: 7 ¼ (7 ¾, 8 ¼)” / 18.5 (19.5, 21) cm
Hand length: 7 (7 ½, 8 ½)” / 18 (19, 20.5) cm
Total length: 9 ¼ (9 ¾, 10 ¼) / 23.5 (25, 26) cm
Shown in size 7 ¼” / 18.5 cm.
Gauge:
For size 7 ¼” / 18.5 cm:
36 sts and 41 rounds = 4” / 10 cm in Stockinette stitch over Chart using Size 1 ½ US / 2.5 mm needles
For size 7 ¾” / 19.5 cm:
34 sts and 38 rounds = 4” / 10 cm in Stockinette stitch over Chart using Size 2 US / 2.75 mm needles
For size 8 ¼” / 21 cm:
32 sts and 36 rounds = 4” / 10 cm in Stockinette stitch over Chart using Size 2 ½ US / 3 mm needles
