Filigree is a pretty, vintage-inspired shawlette inspired by the new yarn in the Skeinz Vintage range, “Filigree”.

A floaty laceweight edging adds a touch of romantic whimsy while the garter stitch body provides quick and satisfying knitting.

Please note: The body of this shawlette is made in DK/8ply yarn and the edging is made in kid/mohair laceweight.

Ravelry will only let me have one yarn weight in the description so I’ve listed it as laceweight (as per the name of the pattern) but suggested gauge is for the garter stitch body which is in DK.

Yardage:
As written the shawlette uses:
DK/8ply yarn for the body. 100g/202m (either 100g of MC or 50g of MC/50g of CC)
Kid mohair laceweight for the edging. 25g/170m (in MC)

Sizing can easily be adjusted. As written it is a small shawlette - ideal for wrapping around your shoulders or wearing with a pin or brooch. If you are wanting to make a bigger shawl sized piece you will need additional yardage - I would suggest having at least 50g of laceweight if you are making the body larger.

Pattern includes tips for a neat edge when changing colours if you are working a striped version.
