Pattern is written using UK crochet terms. A glossary with the difference between US and UK terms is available on the pattern pdf and in the pattern book.

Garment is worked using a 3mm hook, which is in-between a US C2 and D3.

You will need 4 buttons, approximately 5/8” (15 mm). Rowan used marbled hemp buttons #TGB4325 from Textile Garden in the UK.
