From the blog: “I found this picture of these filet mats in a women’s magazine dated Dec 1933. There was no pattern as it was only being used as an example on how one could use such things to make a nightdress case or handkerchief sachet. After searching hither and yon for the pattern to no avail I sat down with a magnifying glass and charted the pattern.”

Note that the size changes depending on your gauge. I recommend doing a sample 10 x 10 mesh swatch and, making sure it is square, use your gauge to calculate the size.
