The FiftyFifty mittens is knitted bottom up. You begin by knitting a two-coloured cuff with the technique intarsia in the round (step by step pictures are in the pattern and also links to video tutorials) and then the rest of the mitten is in stranded knitting. The mittens come in two sizes with the possibility to adapt the length or make them half mittens. The left and right mitten is knitted the same way.

GAUGE approx. 28 sts x 34 r = 10 x 10 cm ≈ 4 x 4 in. On 2,5 mm (US 1,5) needle in stranded knitting after blocking.

NEEDLES 2,5 mm (US 1,5) DPN (alt. 2,5 mm (US 1,5) circular needle for magic loop). If you have a tendency to tighten the yarn when working stranded kitting you might need to change to needles in a larger size after you have knitted the cuff.

TECHNIQUES Intarsia in the round, stranded knitting, decreases right/left, increases right/left.
