Field of Sheep Hat
This hat is as fun to knit as it is to wear. Doesn’t it make you smile?
It uses stranded knitting to achieve the adorable sheep pattern and a hidden added bonus is that it is partially lined on the inside so that your ears stay toasty warm.
Skill level: Experienced.
Size: Three sizes, 18 ½“ (20 ½”, 22”) 48 (52, 56) cm).
Gauge: 26sts/30 rows = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch worked in two-colors in the round.
Yarn: Worsted weight
Models used Stonehedge Fiber Mills Shepherd’s Wool.
Needles and notions: US Size 3 (3.25 mm) and US Size 5 (3.75 mm) needles,
16” (40 cm) circular and one set US Size 5 (3.75 mm) double-pointed needles or sizes to obtain gauge. Tapestry needle, stitch markers.
