Are you ready for this relaxing knit? The Field shawl is beginner-friendly and has been designed to highlight the beauty of that special yarn from your stash. In my case, I used my own handspun yarn that I paired with Les Garçons, British DK for a moody low contrast feel.

❖ Yarn A (charcoal): approx. 525 yds / 420 m / 2 skeins of hand-spun yarn*
❖ Yarn B (black): approx. 525 yds / 420 m / 2 skeins of British DK
Sample shown in hand-spun yarn made by me using fibre from Artifacts of Appreciation, and British DK from Les Garçons (75% Bluefaced Leicester Wool, 25% Masham Wool; 263 yd/240 m per 100 g skein) in “Moira’s Black Rose”
Version 2 (grey and cream)
Weight: DK for Yarn A and lace held double for Yarn B
❖ Yarn A (grey): approx. 525 yds / 420 m / 2 skeins of handspun yarn*
❖ Yarn B (cream): approx. 985 yds / 900 m / 3 skeins of Suri Lace
Sample shown in handspun yarn made by me using fibre from Les Garçons and Suri Lace from Moel View Yarn (74% Baby Suri Alpaca, 26% Mulberry Silk; 328 yd/300 m per 50 g skein) in “Quarry”
*If you’re not using hand-spun yarn, you can simply substitute it with any DK-weight yarn.

❖ US 6 (4 mm) circular needles, 40 in (100 cm) in length, or size needed to obtain gauge
GAUGE
❖ 19 sts and 32 rows = 4 in (10 cm) in garter stitch, blocked
