Fibonacci Octad is a ‘painting’ created with yarn knitted in stocking stitch in the round. The pattern is based on the Fibonacci Sequence where each number in the sequence is the sum of the two proceeding numbers: 1,1,2,3,5,8 and so on. Knitting does lend itself very well to this mathematical rule which is frequently observed in nature such as the branching patterns in trees and leaves and the distribution of the petals of a flower. Use any color combination that suits your decor and knit as big or as small as you like!

You will also need:
One 60cm x 60 cm (24” x 24”) stretched canvas
120ml (4 floz) fabric glue
